We understand you might have a few questions you'd like answering before ordering. Here we list a few of the most common one's, though you're welcome to contact us should you have something else to ask.
Do I need to buy the brackets in addition to the shelf?
No you don't. We provide the floating shelf brackets along with your order, but if would prefere a shelf with other styles of brackets or none at all, check out our other solid oak shelves.
Would you drill the holes for the brackets for me?
Yes, with all orders of our floating shelves that include floating shelf brackets we'll drill the necessary holes in the back of the shelf.
Are these shelves with the brackets easy to fit?
Yes. Once you've drilled the holes in the wall where your shelf is going to fit, simply slide the shelf (with holes already drilled in the shelf) on to the brackets. Our brackets are on a cam, meaning that fine adjustment can be made to level out the shelf when fitting.

This was my second shelf from Essential Woodwork. And like the first shelf, a window board, and a coat hook rack, it is, quite simply, very good. I wasn't sure of exactly what I needed, but I had a few brilliant phone calls to help me choose what was best, and delivery was quick. The shelves are beautiful and really finish my kitchen, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend!

I bought my shelf from you because you supplied a 25mm thick shelf. Other suppliers only do 20mm, a bit thin, or 32mm a bit heavy. A lovely piece of wood was supplied with precise pre drilled holes and good quality fittings. Delivery was on time advised. The shelf is just how I had imagined it would be.
There were two very small indents on the surface of the shelf, presumably in transit as there are corresponding marks on the hardboard packaging.
I can't remember how the metal supports were packaged and wonder if pressure against them could have caused this.
I would use you again as you also offer cut to size. Regards.

I would also presume as you’ve suggested that the small indents would probably be caused during transit and I am focusing a lot on how to improve packaging even further.
